The population of Haiti totalled approximately 11.4 million people in 2020. That year, there were an estimated 19,000 people who developed TB. Among them, 2,200 were children. Moreover, there were 7,727 missing people with TB (of which 1,013 were children).

In 2023, Delft Imaging had the opportunity to deliver three CAD4TB artificial intelligence software units to Haiti, automatically detecting TB-related abnormalities on chest X-rays. The CAD4TB software was linked to existing X-ray systems, already in-country, and a PACS system already in use. The project included transportation, training, installation and maintenance services.
