Botswana had a population of 2.4 million people in 2020. Five thousand six hundred estimated people developed TB; 540 were children. Furthermore, there were 3,116 missing people with TB (380 were children).

In 2018, Delft Imaging delivered the CAD4TB artificial intelligence software, used to detect TB-related abnormalities on chest X-rays, to Botswana automatically. Six CAD4TB solutions were installed in mobile TB clinics and used to support the prevalence survey.
