Eswatini battles TB with Delft’s Solutions

With a population of 1.I92 million, Eswatini is actively combating the dual epidemic of TB and HIV. While a modest 4,200 are estimated to have developed TB, an additional 2266 are missing people with TB. What makes the situation grave is that the nation has the highest HIV prevalence globally.

In early 2016, the National Tuberculosis Programme of Eswatini procured an OneStopTB clinic to screen about 100,000 inhabitants. We also delivered two Easy Portable X-rays to reach the remotest areas in the mountainous country.

Making a difference

Initially, it took days to detect and diagnose active TB. The triage through CAD4TB reduced this time to two hours.
